(Video) Man United target Jadon Sancho opens scoring for Borussia Dortmund on 100th appearance

Jadon Sancho opened the scoring for Borussia Dortmund against Duisburg tonight.

It took just 14 minutes for the Englishman to fire home from the penalty spot.

Sancho was making his 100th appearance for BVB and he took his opportunity to make it more memorable.

I’m not convinced he thought he’d be making his 100th appearance for the Bundesliga club this summer, with strong links to Manchester United, but it happened and there has not been significant enough progress to feel anyway optimistic about a deal.

The United target sent the keeper the wrong way after Dortmund won the penalty as a result of a handball from Axel Witsel’s cross from the left flank.

Sancho giving BVB the lead tonight will put more focus on his future. The German press will be keen to ask questions after the match.

Dortmund are currently winning 3-0, with Jude Bellingham scoring their second of the game. A walk in the park for the Bundesliga giants.

It wouldn’t be a bad way to sign off either, would it?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs a player who will score goals from the right flank and Sancho would arrive as a ready-made star.

I’m not saying that to pile pressure on Sancho — should he sign this summer — because fans should give players time to settle, but he’s one of the hottest prospects in football. Of course I want him at Old Trafford.
