Man United face tough competition for Sergio Reguilon as European giants enter race

Manchester United are reportedly facing some tough competition in their pursuit of Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon as Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan and Juventus are all also interested in the 23-year-old attacking full-back.

Reguilon spent last season on loan at the Europa League’s eventual winners Sevilla where he featured in 38 matches across all competitions and was directly involved in eight goals for the Spanish side.

According to wide spread reports over the summer, United are interested in securing the highly-rated Spaniard as they look to bolster their wide defensive options.

However, in a recent report from Marca, United look set to face some tough competition if they are to try and sign the 23-year-old.

The report states that Reguilon will be allowed to leave the Los Blancos for between £17m – £23m but also claims that Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are ‘keeping a close eye’ on the left-back.

Alongside Juventus and Inter Milan, Marca also claim that Jose Mourinho’s Spurs are ‘following’ Reguilon, however, one side who are no longer in the running is Chelsea, the Blues’ signing of Ben Chilwell firmly rules them out of pursuing Reguilon.
