Premier League goal of the season shortlist announced: United star in the running

The Premier League goal of the season award shortlist has been announced which sees nine of this season’s best all in the hunt for the illustrious award. One of the front-runners to claim the award is Manchester United’s star midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes’ shortlisted goal is the second of the two he bagged against Brighton and Hove Albion on June 30 in a game which saw United beat Graham Potter’s side 3-0.

The 25-year-old attacker’s second against Brighton really was reminiscent of the United of old.

The Portuguese Magnifico’s goal was the result of a devastating counter-attack started by Nemanja Matic, assisted by Mason Greenwood and eventually smashed into the net by the man himself.
