Staggering stat details how much flop Alexis Sanchez was paid per touch at Man Utd

A quite incredible stat has exposed the true extent of Manchester United’s transfer disaster after it was confirmed Alexis Sanchez had left permanently for Inter Milan.

Inter announced the signing of the Chilean forward on Thursday morning, finally putting an end to his abysmal Old Trafford career.

Sanchez, almost unexplainably, cut a forlorn figure during his eighteen months in Manchester before sealing a season-long loan switch to Inter last summer.

He has endured another frustrating season with injury setbacks but has finally found some form since the restart, netting three times and laying on seven assists.

According to the Sun, Sanchez was paid up to £560,000 per-week at United, including a basic wages of £300,000 plus add-ons.

Sanchez scored just five goals during his United career, which would equate to around £12m per goal in wages.

And popular statistician Duncan Alexander has gone one step further, detailing that Sanchez’s career worked out at around £28,800 per touch of the ball.

United must learn from their enormous mistake with Sanchez, who completely altered the wage structure at the club after signing from Arsenal.

Supporters will be relieved to see the winger off the wage bill, despite the initial excitement surrounding his arrival.
