Manchester United’s number-nine Antony Martial is not a player who, prior to this season, would have been associated with playing with a smile on his face.
However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to have turned that assumption on its head after the Frenchman was spotted grinning ear-to-ear after his winner against LASK in tonight’s Europa League game.
The 24-year-old is enjoying the best season of his career so far, having bagged his 23rd goal of the campaign in all competitions earlier this evening.
Speaking after the game, legend Paul Scholes highlighted his former team-mate Solskjaer’s positive impact on the young Frenchman (via BT Sport).
It really is great to see the lad beaming.
When Anthony Martial bagged the winner for Man Utd he looked straight over to Solskjaer with a big smile 🙌
