Ryan Giggs tells Man United to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has issued a passionate and direct message to his former club pleading with them to ‘go and get’ number one target Jadon Sancho if they believe he is available.

United have been relentlessly linked with Borussia Dortmund’s star-man Sancho for the best part of 12 months as speculation mounts that Solskjaer could be set to bring the Englishman to Old Trafford in a £60m deal, as per Independent.

Sancho has endured a monumental rise to the forefront of the footballing world after a highly impressive break-through season.

The 20-year-old boasts a superb domestic goal contribution tally of 33 in just 25 starts for current club Borussia Dortmund.

It has been the Englishman’s incredible and consistent form this season which has been the driving force behind a series of claims that he is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one summer transfer target.

Addressing the speculation surround Sancho, ex-United winger Giggs had some high praise for the youngster as he spoke on Webby & O’Neill YouTube channel saying: “Sancho? Yeah… Quick, direct but also an intelligent player.

“What I like about him is when he gets into them areas for that final ball, he doesn’t panic which a lot of quick, wide players sometimes do.

“He picks out the right pass.”

Discussing how he would envision Sancho fitting into Solskjaer’s tactical plans, Giggs said: “He’s someone who can counter-attack if we’re going to play that.

“Also, if a team are going to sit back he can beat players and make things happen. […] If they [Sancho and Jack Grealish] are available, if we are able to get them, I would go and get them.”

Giggs went onto reiterate how he feels that the United squad need to strengthen their quality in depth by saying: “The lads are getting a little bit tired, having a strength in depth where you’re able to change it where you’re not really weakening it.”
