Victor Lindelof’s excellent stats from MOTM performance vs Leicester City

Victor Lindelof was comfortably man of the match as Manchester United secured Champions League qualification with a nervy 2-0 victory over Leicester City.

Lindelof has been maligned by large sections of the fanbase this season, but delivered when it mattered most this afternoon as he was easily the most assured of United’s backline.

There was an obvious concern that Lindelof would struggle to deal with the elusive Jamie Vardy, but he defended stoutly and was not once beaten by the Premier League’s Golden Boot winner.

In fact, the ‘Iceman’ didn’t lose an aerial duel or miss a tackle throughout in one of his most impressive displays of the season.

Lindelof can be vulnerable to being bullied and harassed by the opposition striker but was at ease this afternoon when any mistake could have been terminal.

He was also progressive in possession, looking most confident to play the ball out of the back with some conviction.

An outstanding display from the Swedish international who was undoubtedly United’s best player.
