Jessie Lingard makes exciting admission about Man Utd transfer target Jadon Sancho

Jessie Lingard has given a glowing appraisal of Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho amid reported interest from Manchester United.

As noted by the MEN, United are interested in signing Sancho, who has entered the last two years of his contract at Dortmund.

And Lingard, who has teamed up with Sancho during his time on England duty, believes the 20-year-old would be a great signing for any potential suitor.

“Jadon is a brilliant player. It is obviously up to him,” Lingard said, as quoted by the Evening Standard.

“I’ve seen him with England, I’ve seen his qualities and I feel like he’d be a great addition to any team.”

Marcus Rashford has already spoke about his desire to play with Sancho and Lingard clearly shares that belief.

Sancho is one of the most coveted young players across Europe and it could take a nine figure sum to prize him away from Dortmund this summer.

The Man City youth product netted 17 goals and laid on 16 assists in the Bundesliga this term, and has been touted to move back to England.

And Sancho appears the perfect addition for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United who are in need of a right-sided attacker.

But a transfer to United could hinge on whether the Reds secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

Solskjaer’s men must avoid defeat against Leicester City on Sunday to secure their place in Europe’s elite competition next season.  The game away to the Foxes holds huge importance for United in their plans to rebuild and attract their priority targets.
