Ole Gunnar Solskjaer responds to Jude Bellingham Borussia Dortmund transfer news

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked to comment on reports Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham has agreed to join Borussia Dortmund.

United have been long linked with the talented youngster who plays in midfield — they even invited Bellingham and his parents to Carrington in March where he met with Ed Woodward and Matt Judge.

However, stories on Thursday claimed the teenager is close to joining Dortmund, as per BBC Sport.

“I think there’s been loads of speculation linking us to every single talented player from the age of 15 to 25, really,” Solskjaer said, as quoted by Manchester Evening News. “I can’t comment on every single player that’s been linked with us. So no, I can’t really comment.”

If Bellingham signs for Dortmund, the media will still turn to claim he is the second youngster to reject United in favour of the Bundesliga outfit this season after Erling Haaland chose to join them rather than reunite with his former manager at Old Trafford.

Sources close to the situation told Stretty News that United walked away from the negotiation table — unhappy with what Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, was putting forward.

Moreover, you can’t begrudge a young player for wanting to join Dortmund.

It’s a great club that plays in the Champions League most seasons. They believe in young footballers and have a good record when it comes to developing players and selling them later for significant profit.
