Video: Man United target Kai Havertz scores with clinical finish to give Leverkusen lead

The return of the Bundesliga has many Manchester United fans avidly monitoring the form of Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho.

But it’s another young United target that is making all the headlines in Germany – Kai Havertz has scored yet again to give Bayern Leverkusen the lead against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

According to the Evening Standard, Havertz is being viewed as an alternative to Sancho in the summer transfer window at Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old is one of the brightest talents in world football and reminded us of his composure in front of goal with his 13th goal of the season.

He slotted home clinically with his weaker right-foot after timing his run through on goal to perfection following the pass from Karim Bellarabi.

Havertz’ versatility is what makes him such an exciting prospect as he can operate from the right-flank where United are lacking balance or in attacking midfield.

While it’s understandable that Sancho remains the priority target, Havertz is a player that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might not be able to ignore.
