(Video) Scott McTominay advice on staying motivated at home during COVID-19 pandemic

Premier League clubs tested their players and staff for COVID-19 this week and we reported that zero tests came back positive at Manchester United.

The club has shared a useful video on Facebook with Scott McTominay sharing his own tips of staying motivated from home — something all United players have had to do during this pandemic, but they will now return to training in small groups as the Premier League attempts to restart the 2019/20 campaign next month.

The Scotland international says he tries to wake up as early as he can which can be difficult with people developing new sleeping routines in lockdown, but McTominay stresses the importance of sticking to usual routines — going to sleep before midnight and waking up before 9am.

As soon as the United midfielder wakes up he listens to dance music, eats breakfast and uses YouTube to motivate himself to train in his garden.

McTominay has a goal in his garden for practising and staying active.
