Report: Man Utd offer Dean Henderson £100,000 p/w deal to fight off Premier League interest

Manchester United have reportedly offered Dean Henderson an improved deal.

The young goalkeeper is bound to attract attention from Europe’s top clubs if he continues to perform as his current level for Sheffield United in the Premier League.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Henderson which would explain why United have offered the young goalkeeper £100,000-per-week to keep him, as reported by The Sun.

With David de Gea’s questionable keeping at times this season, and Henderson showing strong displays at Sheffield, there has been calls for the youngster to get his shot at Old Trafford.

According to the Daily Mail, Henderson had told team-mates at Bramall Lane he was willing to return to the Blades next season unless he was guaranteed a first team place at Old Trafford, but it looks like United are upping the ante to keep their man.

Chelsea are in need of a goalkeeper, of course, still regretting their decision to splash the cash on Kepa Arrizabalaga to replace Thibaut Courtois after the Belgian joined Real Madrid.

Henderson has two years remaining on his current deal with United.
