Video: Luke Shaw goes against FIFA 20 stats to name slowest & strongest Man Utd team-mates

Luke Shaw gets quizzed on his teammates’ FIFA 20 stats in a Soccer AM interview.

The Manchester United defender has been enjoying himself on the pitch more over the past month. It seems the emergence of Brandon Williams has been a real benefit to everyone, including Shaw, who has kicked on and become a reliable member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s defence.

At the start we are shown Shaw’s first FIFA card as a young left-back at Southampton. He claims Rio Ferdinand gave him a slagging over it, and it’s easy to see why…

Shaw said at that age he didn’t care about his haircut. How things change?

He describes Mason Greenwood as “a joke” for being so good with both feet.

There has been some debate this year over United’s quickest player and Shaw was caught between two minds to go for either Marcus Rashford or Daniel James. FIFA stats suggest James is the quickest player at the club.

The biggest question — and perhaps toughest for Shaw to answer — was ‘Who is the slowest player at United?’

Shaw correctly opts for one of the older players, but guesses wrong with Juan Mata. It’s Nemanja Matic with 48 pace, according to EA Sports. The England international defends his teammates by saying they think quickly — sometimes ahead of the players around them.

Scott McTominay is the strongest player in the squad, as per Shaw, but FIFA give it to Harry Maguire.

Apparently McTominay fancies himself a bit too!
