Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder believes Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.
On current form, it’s difficult to disagree with Wilder who has guided the Blades to fifth in the league table after another victory at Bramall Lane this afternoon, this time at home to Bournemouth.
Henderson was once again instrumental in the win; the 22-year-old made a remarkable save to keep out Ryan Fraser’s fiercely hit volley.

“Dean is making a case to get in the England team outright, yes. I’ve maintained it all along, if there’s a better goalie in the division right now then I don’t know who that is,” Wilder said after the game, as quoted by Manchester Evening News.
Gareth Southgate has certainly been given something to think about regarding his first choice shot-stopper for the European Championships this summer.
The youngster is outperforming current number one Jordan Pickford in the Premier League this season.
Henderson’s form over his last two loan spells in Sheffield gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer an important dilemma next season.
Ideally, Henderson should be the long-term successor to David De Gea in goal, but he will not settle being an understudy at Old Trafford.
United risk losing Henderson to a top side elsewhere if they do not manage the talented ‘keeper’s future well in the coming months.
Some United fans think Henderson could realistically be number one next season.
Really love the recent comments from Dean Henderson. He definitely sounds confident in himself, yet humble enough to know he still has work to do in order to make it at #mufc. The club can't afford to mess this up. He needs a path to becoming a first team competitor. pic.twitter.com/V3FyIqSEOv

Dean Henderson is better than David De Gea.
People needs to start realising. #MUFC

Cash in on De Gea in the summer and make way for Henderson? #SHUBOU #MUFC

I would seriously consider cashing in on De Gea and giving Henderson the 1 jersey next season. Bring in Grealish and even look at Watkins from Brentford #MUFC #EPL

Sheffield United, thank you for the development of Dean Henderson, he’s an absolute gem now and is only coming for one thing next season. Yes, a starting spot for #MUFC, De Gea has needed some real competition and a wake up call for over a year now. Already England’s 🏴 best GK.

Dean Henderson will be pushing De Gea hard for a place in the side next season. Looks the real deal.
De Gea , Romero and Henderson. Unbelievable goalkeepers. #MUFC— Russ (@McGreavyR7) February 9, 2020
Dean Henderson is terrific. What will United do? He’s too good to sit on the bench but it doesn’t look likely they’ll sell De Gea. #mufc

Dean needs to worry about @SheffieldUnited & not concern himself with what happens at @manutd next season
Besides, #mufc signed Nathan Bishop I'm sure he wasn't signed to sit in U23s
We also have Joel Pereira on loanI think the club are planning a future without Henderson

Dean Henderson is the best GK in the league but you lot ain’t ready for that because he’s playing for Sheffield and United
