Claim made Man Utd could be rocked by major Rashford injury setback

Can Manchester United’s injury crisis get any worse?

I don’t think so if a rumour from Twitter can be believed — suggesting that Marcus Rashford is out for the remainder of the season with a fractured back.

Obviously, Twitter is not a very reliable source for news given anybody can create an account and share ‘news’, so we take great caution with this update until Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says anything about it.

Solskjaer, however, isn’t renowned for precise injury updates. His responses to questions at press conferences have been vague at best on a number of players this season.

It’s either he doesn’t know and his medical team aren’t doing enough work, or he doesn’t want the media to make a bigger deal of his current situation as manager.

Whatever it is, Rashford being out for the rest of the season would be a huge blow to Solskjaer and United’s chances of finishing in the Premier League’s top four.

The account sharing the news immediately sounds sketchy with @FPLSubscribe as it’s username.

You have to question whether it’s just an attempt to get more followers on Twitter but there could be a costly backlash as well.

We certainly hope it’s bullshit.
