Marcus Rashford was happy with the team’s performance against Partizan Belgrade in tonight’s 3-0 win at Old Trafford.
Finally we saw the lads go for the opposition’s throat. Instead of scoring and sitting back, United never stopped hunting for goals.
It was the type of display that can make fans feel entertained as they leave the ground. And, that’s rarely been the case this season.
Rashford scored United’s third but missed a flurry of opportunities. Still, five goals from his last five starts for the club is not a bad run at all.
It’s clear that he is more comfortable played on the left to Anthony Martial, who also scored, but we can’t forget the third scorer Mason Greenwood.
In his post-match interview with BT Sport, as seen below, Rashford urges Greenwood to keep doing what he’s doing.
“A good performance, a lot we can improve on.”
“We scored three but it could have been a lot more.”
