Report: Alexis Sanchez bust-up with Man Utd youngster in training as Chile star fights to regain fitness

An exclusive from The Sun claims Alexis Sanchez and Mason Greenwood had a bust-up in training ahead of last weekend’s Premier League opener against Chelsea.

Sanchez knows he needs to prove himself as a Manchester United player after offering little to nothing since signing for the club in January 2018, yet remains the club’s highest paid player.

He must find full fitness this season and show the fans why José Mourinho decided to bring him to Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to get the best out of him.

The Chile international was apparently fouled in one of his first training sessions after returning from the Copa America with a hamstring injury and it supposedly led to words being exchanged between the pair.

Without really know what happened or how true the original report is, I don’t think it’s fair to comment but this season Sanchez needs to chip in with more goals when played. He doesn’t resemble his former self and it’s actually quite sad.

But as a 30-year-old international star, Sanchez should be leading by example with the likes of Greenwood and off the pitch that’s a bare minimum…

I just wish we had the Alexis Sanchez who was a constant pain in the arse for other teams – who played against Arsenal, but he’s just a pain for United.

Sanchez is currently in the process of regaining enough fitness to find himself back on the pitch again, though with young stars like Greenwood now knocking on the door for starting places, the former Arsenal man faces a degree of uncertainty around his role.

And so he should!

He’s been an absolute nightmare for United and I do hope The Sun’s report is a load of rubbish — with neither player guilty of acting up.
