Manchester United have finally reached an agreement with Inter Milan for the sale of Romelu Lukaku.
According to the Guardian, the fee for the Belgian will be around £70m plus add-ons, around what the Reds signed him for from Everton.
Lukaku was said to be desperate to join Antonio Conte’s side, and a deal has finally been reached on the penultimate day of the transfer window.

The report claims the 26-year-old is set to earn around £300,000 per-week, and will sign a five-year deal at the club.
The Belgian international’s exit makes sense as he did not fit into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s fluid system and was clearly disillusioned at the club.
It’s encouraging to see the Reds get rid of a player who was surplus to requirements at an acceptable price, but surely a replacement needs to be signed with the money obtained through the sale.
Lukaku still had a reasonable goal record at United, and it will be struggle if Solskjaer goes into the season relying on Marcus Rashford to score all the goals.
Another forward addition is still needed to take the pressure off Rashford’s shoulders in leading the forward line, regardless of Mason Greenwood’s rise into the first-team.
Some fans have reacted to Lukaku’s imminent departure below:
If we sell Lukaku and don't sign a replacement, the goal-scoring expectations fall heavily onto:
– Mason Greenwood (17)
– Marcus Rashford (21)
– Anthony Martial (23)Big pressure 🤔 pic.twitter.com/9HGccPbRx9

Quite simply: if Manchester United decide to sell Lukaku, a replacement MUST be signed. Or they will struggle for goals emphatically this season.

However frustrating Romelu Lukaku is as a player, he is still the source of 42 goals over two seasons when the side have struggled for goals. To sell him without a better replacement, or any replacement at all, is deeply alarming and will only make this #MUFC squad weaker.

It’s looking like this #MUFC transfer window could be the most disappointing for a long time.
– No centre mid
– Unhappy Pogba still here
– No Lukaku replacement lined up
– Bloated squad will breed unhappinessIf that Lukaku money comes in then the Glazers are winners again!

Letting go of #Lukaku without signing a better replacement may prove to be disastrous.

Going to be a very bad decision to sell Romelu Lukaku without signing a replacement. We are losing a lot of goals per season. #mufc

Lukaku leaving soon and no replacement is a recipe for disaster! Greenwood is exciting and promising but he's still very young.

This will be a poor transfer window for Utd if they dont sign a replacement for Lukaku by tomorrow!
