Squad for AC Milan game confirmed: Lukaku and Sanchez absent

Romelu Lukaku is being strongly linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer and he will now miss the final pre-season friendly match against AC Milan, in Cardiff.

The Belgian striker could join Juventus in a swap deal that would see Juve playmaker Paulo Dybala sign for United, as reported by Goal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced his squad for Saturday’s game against Milan, with noted absentees being Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

Neither player has played a second of pre-season football this summer, which doesn’t really matter when it comes to Lukaku because he’ll likely to be sold at some point.

We can’t seem to get rid of Sanchez, who continues to steal a living as the club’s biggest earner, producing so little whenever he plays. The younger lads who went on tour should be ahead of him in the pecking order now.

It will be United’s final fixture of the 2019 International Champions Cup, and the Reds are in line to win it outright with a convincing win over the Italian giants.

Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant

Defenders: Lee Grant, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Axel Tuanzebe, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ashley Young

Midfielders: Fred, Angel Gomes, Daniel James, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba
