The 22-year-old midfielder has been impressive in all areas during this pre-season tour, and is becoming an increasingly important figure in Solskjaer’s squad.
McTominay is starting to assert himself as a commanding presence in midfield, and looks to have transformed as a player since first breaking into the first-team under Jose Mourinho, where admittedly, the jury was still out on the Scotsman.
Many Manchester United fans have been loving the midfielder’s performance so far:
McTominay has been the standout player for me. Showing some solid consistency.

Since 2015–16, Scott McTominay has played as an attacking midfielder or a forward on multiple occasions for the youth team. Thus, do not be surprised when he takes a ball on the turn, releases it away from him and strikes it well at goal.
That is an added bonus for him.
