Bayern Munich consider José Mourinho for next season

Former Manchester United manager José Mourinho is being considered by Bayern Munich ahead of next season, according to Footmercato.

Mourinho has been out of work since December when he was sacked by United after showing terrible form since the beginning of the season.

But after seeing Zinedine Zidane beat him to the Real Madrid job, Mourinho must now wait patiently for his next job to surface. It seems he is now in the running for the Bayern job should they decided to part ways with current coach Niko Kovac.

Despite his failures at United, Mourinho won’t be out of work very long. He’s still considered one of best managers of his generation and Bayern could see him as a solution to their problems.

However, there are fears Mourinho could be past it.

He never fully recovered from the Real Madrid job he had between 2010-13 and I wonder if the Portuguese tactician will get over that.

At United, Mourinho will be remembered for his League Cup and Europa League triumphs. The aim was to get United back winning league titles but we haven’t done that since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and we’re still a long way off such a feat.
