Manchester United step up interest in transfer of £105m-rated forward

Manchester United are reportedly the latest club to be interested in the potential transfer of Benfica forward Joao Felix.

The 19-year-old is considered one of the biggest talents coming through in Europe at the moment after his breakthrough season in Portugal and could be an exciting addition at Old Trafford.

However, we’ll most likely have to pay big for him after reportedly showing an interest (according to Record), with his release clause as high as £105million, according to the Daily Mirror.

Of course, Felix is surely not worth that much just yet, but it puts Benfica in a strong negotiating position, with the Mirror noting they’ve already rejected an offer from Liverpool.

This will certainly be an interesting one to keep an eye on, with Felix surely heading for a great career at the highest level of the game and sure to attract more interest as time goes on.

If that is the case we could probably do with getting in there quickly, though it seems unlikely that interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to get that kind of money to throw around as he potentially faces leaving his job in a few months.
