Crucial contract update: Man Utd star tipped to sign new five-year deal

Anthony Martial is reportedly set to sign a new contract with the club which could keep him at Man Utd for the next five years.

These are happier times at Old Trafford currently as after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed as interim boss last month, we’ve managed to secure six consecutive wins across all competitions.

It appears as though the good news will keep coming too as Sky Sports note that Martial could be set to sign a new five-year contract with us shortly, to end speculation and commit his long-term future with his current deal set to expire in 2020.

The 23-year-old has played a key role so far this season, scoring nine goals in 23 games in all competitions, with eight of those coming in the Premier League.

Further, he’s started in four of the five league outings that Solskjaer has been in charge of thus far, suggesting that he has a big role to play in his plans for the rest of the season. In turn, signing a new deal will surely take away any distractions and allow him to fully focus on helping us maintain this impressive form we’re in.

Martial has struggled at times to cement his place in the starting line-up during his time with us since his arrival from Monaco in 2015, but signing a new long-term deal would be a real boost as he continues to improve and develop into a top player with his best years still ahead of him.
