Young – smashed Hazard at every opportunity. Foolishly picked up a booking in the opening half hour doing so. Great cross for the equaliser – 7
Lindelof – wasteful and panicked in possession early on, but his work in that back line after we’d taken the lead was composed and impressive. Looked absolutely crushed by their equaliser. I like how much that upset him – 7
Smalling – played like the leader we’re crying out for at the back – 7
Shaw – continues to become a key part of anything good we do. Huge role played in maintaining the pressure around the Chelsea area for the equaliser – 7
Matic – took great joy in smashing Hazard at every opportunity. About the only productive thing he did consistently through the game – 6
Pogba – shithouse job of attempting to mark Rudiger for the Chelsea opener. If Ebola’s distribution was as bad as his, you’d have to Google what ebola was. Very similar to the Newcastle game, once we were back in it he grew into the game and played a huge part in keeping us on the front foot – 6
Mata – great positioning, composure and distribution to get us on the front foot when we got into the Chelsea half. Superb shift put in on and off the ball to turn the game around – 7
Martial – he offered about as much to the game as a vegan would to a bbq until his brilliant touch and finish for the equaliser. Played like the talent that created his cult-like Martial FC after his first goal. Genuinely sad and surprised to see him subbed – 8
Lukaku – key header missed again at 0-0. Not a sitter, but a position he should be doing better with. Huge physical effort from the moment we equalised. Did a great job of leading from the front once we took the lead – 7
Rashford – reminds me of me on FIFA. No real technical skill or quality. Just hit the speed button and hope the opposition don’t block me. But when he did finally pick a pass in the final third, he did so beautifully to set up Martial’s second – 7
Subs – All busy but eventless, a steady 6 for all 3 that came on.
