Manchester United continue to show their support of Jose Mourinho from the stands.
Jose Mourinho is under intense pressure of keep his job at United, but the Old Trafford faithful is adamant about where the blame should be aimed.
And, that’s at the very top. The Glazers, Ed Woodward and the fellow businessmen on the board.
Mourinho’s United currently trail Newcastle by 2 goals to nil and, with his job very much on the line, the fans are making it clear Mourinho will continue to receive their backing.
The manager decided to react to Newcastle’s opening two goals just 17 minutes into the game by substituting Eric Bailly for Juan Mata. That decision saw United form a 4-4-2 formation with Scott McTominay positioned at centre-back.
Should the club axe Mourinho, he will then become the third manager to receive a compensation package from the club since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
Something is very wrong at the club.
Journalist Andy Mitten picked up on the chants from the ground.
Sections of Old Trafford finally turn on the MUFC board, with chants of “Jose’s right, the board is shite.”
