Matteo Darmian’s agent has confirmed he and his client are in advanced talks over a move to Serie A champions Juventus.
The Italy international never truly settled in at Old Trafford and it’s hardly surprising to see him looking to move away and return to his homeland this summer.
There are no hard feelings regards Darmain from the United faithful. He just hasn’t been good enough for the Premier League, whereas he clearly impressed people during his spell at Torino.

Well, enough to convince Louis van Gaal to sign him.
Football Italia claims Inter Milan had also been interested in signing Darmian, but his representative has been quoted by the website as saying talks are at an advantage stage over him making a move to Juve.
‘Progressing very well,’ his agent said when asked about negotiations. ‘We’re at an advanced stage with Juventus.’
It remains to be seen if the United full-back would be the first choice for Juve, but I’d be very doubtful of that with the likes of Alex Sandro still in Turin.
