Luke Shaw didn’t make the England 23-man World Cup squad this summer, but the Manchester United left-back still enjoyed Gareth Southgate’s side reaching the semi-final this weekend.
That is, at least, until he made the mistake of tweeting about the heroics of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford after the game, by asking social media – or the internet, as he calls it – to provide him with some entertainment.
It’s fair to say he got more than what he bargained for…

Shaw’s Twitter followers chipped in with things Pickford could save in accompanied by a relevant hashtag.
One fan absolutely destroyed him with his short but sweet responses:

Although we’re sure the Twitter user allegedly named Ryan would love to see Shaw turn his Old Trafford career around, it’s no secret that he hasn’t had the best of times since joining in 2014.
Unfortunately, Pickford can’t save you now.
