Sir Alex Ferguson had no idea what to expect when Bebe joined from Vitoria de Guimarares back in 2010.
The greatest manager of all-time was persuaded by Jorge Mendes to sign Bebe, providing video clips of the winger in action before the Scot took his word and completed the deal.
Bebe went on to become a bit of a ‘class clown’ figure at United. He was so bad, fans couldn’t help but laugh. His crosses sent ball boys running outside football grounds to retrieve the balls.

While Bebe is still contracted to Eibar, he returned to Rayo Vallecano on loan last season and scored three goals in 17 appearances. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s goalscoring records are safe for now…
However, in an interview with the La Liga YouTube channel, Bebe reveals he liked Chelsea from a young age and looked up to striker Didier Drogba.
He reflects on Ronaldo’s free-kick against Portsmouth too.
Bebe also thanks Sir Alex Ferguson in this interview for giving him so much advice throughout his time at United. The Scot, he claims, always trusted in him and he’s took everything he said into is game to this day.
