Ashley Young has done a fine job this season but long-term, investment is required in this area of the pitch; especially as there are persisting doubts over the long-term future of Luke Shaw.

There is much emphasis on the full-backs to get forward and aid the attack in the modern game and there are few better than Alex Sandro at the minute. Sandro has had a fine season in Serie A, contributing 4 goals and 4 assists in 38 starts for Juventus.

Further, he is a strong crosser of the ball and great in the air. What’s not to like?
