It has been confirmed on Tuesday that Jamie Carragher will return to Sky Sports next season.
The former Liverpool defender was suspended from Sky Sports after a spitting incident with a Manchester United fan.
Carragher was caught on video spitting at a United fan, who goaded him on the motorway after United’s win over Liverpool in the Premier League.

As per the Daily Mail, Sky Sports have now issued a statement confirming Carragher’s return.
A Sky spokesman said: ‘We’ve spoken to Jamie and reminded him of the standards we expect at Sky Sports. He has shown remorse, is hugely apologetic for the offence he caused and has taken the appropriate steps to make sure that the incident will not be repeated.’
‘It is understood that the decision to retain Carragher went right to the top of the organisation.’
Carragher has yet to react to his Sky Sports return on Twitter, but it’s only a matter of time before he does. Or maybe he wishes to brush his actions under the carpet and get on with his job at hand.
Time will tell.
But, he did apologise after the incident by admitting his bad behaviour was “totally out of order”, and he took full responsibility for his disgraceful behaviour.
Totally out of order & Ive apologised personally to all the family this evening. I was goaded 3/4 times along the motorway while being filmed & lost my rag. No excuse apologies. https://t.co/ofrNfiwhYH
