Man Utd to beat Liverpool in race for mega-money defender

We’re bang in the middle of the summer transfer window and managers, along with executives and directors, are working hard on their transfer targets. Manchester United have already got two deals done and today have reportedly tabled a bid for Liverpool target Milan Skriniar.

It is being boldly claimed that United have stolen the march on Liverpool are submitting a £57 million bid to sign the Inter Milan centre-back, according to a report by The Sun.

Skriniar has quickly developed into one of the brightest centre-backs in Italian football since joining Samdoria from Zillna in 2016 and he gave his reputation a boost following a superb debut season at Inter Milan.

The Slovakia international is already being linked with a move away from the San Siro with The Mirror claiming recently that United and Liverpool are among the clubs to have registered their interest in signing him.

Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho both should be looking to strengthen throughout their squads this summer as they look to compete on all fronts next season and a new centre-back each should be prioritised.

The Sun sound adamant that United have now tabled a formal £57 million bid for the 23-year-old, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. They also claim Inter are determined not to sell him for anything less than £70 million.
