Today it has been reported by many newspapers that Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain and that a deal should be finalized in the coming days. After having a brilliant start to the season following a staggering 57.9 million pound from Real Madrid, Di Maria failed to settle in Manchester and now reportedly wants a move after only one season.
Last week PSG manager and former United defender, Laurent Blanc, confirmed that the French giants were interested in Di Maria and since then it has been reported that talks have been opened and are ongoing between the two clubs. It is understood that the Ligue 1 outlet have offered around €57 million (£40 million), which is significantly less than what United paid for Argentinean winger.
These rumours continue to rumble on even though Di Maria announced earlier this summer that he will be a Manchester United player next season.
He said: “I have just finished my first season playing for Manchester United. Now I will play the Copa America and then I will move back to Manchester for next season and do my best there. It was a hard season for me. I think it was hard because it was another country and another league, and this league is harder than the Spanish one.”
Last season Di Maria managed 4 goals and 12 assists, while only playing 32 games.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that Di Maria had completed his medical and that a deal would be announced before Uniteds first game against Spurs on Saturday.
