Chelsea racists slammed by former United captain

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has spoke out about the racist Chelsea fans who abused a black man in a Paris metro station before the Blues took on Paris-Saint German in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Shocking incidents of this nature are happening far too regularly in football and Ferdinand questions whether the sport as enough power to put a stop to it. Lets not forget how John Terry’s episode with Anton Ferdinand concluded – four match ban and a £220,000 fine for the Chelsea captain. Not really throwing the book at an issue, is it?

Ferdinand, at outspoken advocate for anti-racism, took to social network Twitter to voice his concerns.

Chelsea, along with the appropriate associations, have condemned the incident and they’re all helping with the investigation promising those involved will receiving banning orders.
