Dynamo Kiev’s centre-back Aleksandar Dragovic looks set to leave the Ukrainian side with reports suggesting Louis van Gaal will meet the £16m fee demanded for the 23-year-old Austria international.
Journalist Fabian Zerche asked Dragovic if he was ready for a move.
He replied: “[It’s] hard to say. Of course I feel I’m ready but it’s completely different when you actually arrive at a big club. Huge pressure, good teammates covering your position – but I can say faithfully, that I can compete with the best.”
Dragovic has also been linked with a list of other clubs, including Arsenal.
With exactly a week to go until the transfer window ends, United will have to act swiftly in order to capture the highly-rated defender.
