Piero Ausilio, Inter Milan’s sporting director, will be attending Manchester United vs Olympiacos tonight. In his notebook will be a list of names, after the blitz last night in London to watch Chelsea.
Ausilio is in Manchester to have talks with Patrice Evra’s agent but he knows it will be difficult to convince the left-back, who has threatened a return to France for years now.
Another player on Inter’s radar is Nani. There had been talks for the Portuguese in January but nothing came as a result. Next summer Inter’s Indonesian President Erick Thohir will attempt to re-open negotiations to see if this time Manchester United are willing to sell.
Ausilio has an excellent relationship with the Nani’s agent and he knows that there are other Italian clubs in for the winger. Inter will observe him on a regular basis and reconsider getting his signature in the summer.
There has been talk of Inter being interested in Javier Hernandez. We do not believe that’s the case due to his salary and technical characteristics.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will not go for Fredy Guarin. While there was interest from David Moyes in November, the player’s agent Marcelo Ferreyra has now found agreement with Inter to sign a new contract (€3million per season) until 2017.
