Liverpool defender Kolo Toure believes Manchester United still pose a threat in the title race.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City centre-back says Liverpool are capable of winning the league but are wary of that changing between now and the end of the season – an expectation that United could turn their season around.
Speaking to the Metro, Toure said:
“We want to be up there but the season is long. If we keep working and fighting for each other, anything can happen. The league is very open right now. Even Manchester United, who are far behind, have experience and are dangerous, and Jose Mourinho is doing very well at Chelsea too.”
This is their year, and all that. Moyes does however have a tendency to start seasons slower than other clubs and gradually pick up the pace in the second half. Whether or not we can still retain our trophy is unfortunately doubtful.
