Manchester United progressed in the FA Cup to the fifth round after beating Fulham 4-1 at Old Trafford. David de Gea remained number one but Wayne Rooney lost his role as penalty taker with Ryan Giggs stepping up and scoring the opener.
Javier Hernandez and Rooney also contributed to the goal fest helping United secure their place in the competition.
It’s been nine years since we won the FA Cup, meaning the likes of Rio Ferdinand haven’t won a winners medal. This means United have only three FA Cup winners in their squad. Paul Scholes and Giggs won theirs at United but Robin van Persie picked up his with Arsenal in 2005. Hopefully we can sort that out this season.
