Cristiano Ronaldo’s name is still sung regularly on the terraces by Manchester United fans. The Portuguese winger left United for Real Madrid in 2009 for a record breaking fee worth £80 million, making Ronnie the most expensive footballer in history.
During his six years at Old Trafford, Ronaldo won 3 Premier League titles, Champions League, FA Cup, 2 League Cups and a FIFA Club World Cup. The 27-year-old was outstanding for us, so it doesn’t surprise me seeing so many Reds proud of what he’s achieving today. After all, since leaving Ronaldo has had nothing but positive things to say about his time at United.
