They are two types of humiliating defeats in Manchester United’s psyche.
They are the “f….disgraces” days and they are the “just another day in the history of Manchester United” days. This one was more of the latter type. A balanced game, a marginal 0-1 deficit, a sending off, and then a desperate attack against a team clinical with the counter punch.
City are currently better than United. But it’s October. Titles are won in April-May. And United will challenge for the league – I have no doubt about it.
Having said that:
The last five minutes were pretty careless.
David Silva is a hell of a football player. James Milner better than one would think.
