Match Report: Stoke City 1-2 Manchester United

Another game which kept me at the edge of my seat but it was a day to remember for the ‘little pea’. Hernandez put Manchester United ahead with a header which looked almost impossible, it looked like Hernandez had a ‘rubber neck’ the way he was able to place his head in order to strike the ball.

At such a young age Hernandez plays like an experienced striker, everything about him is a team effort, there is no selfishness about the guy which I like. Whenever he scores he kisses the crest and even when he’s getting kicked around the pitch unlike ‘Nani’ he gets up and gets on with it. He reminds me of Michael Owen, a real professional.

As I said it was a game to remember for Hernandez but unfortunately not for the whole team. John O’Shea who was substituted just after the second half had a terrible game, the amount of time he gave the ball away was frightening. I don’t like getting on players backs the whole time but I write what I see and there are many players on the current squad who shouldn’t be!

After an equalizer from Tuncay, Hernandez secured the three points by scoring on the 86th minute. I couldn’t be anymore happier with the way Hernandez has started at the club, he’s already scoring goals which looks very promising.
