Match Report: Manchester United 2-2 West Brom

After a disappointing scoreless draw against Sunderland last time round we all expected a better outcome taking on West Brom. From the title above you see before reading this ‘match report’ it was another poor result.

Manchester United started lively with Hernandez scoring on the fifth minute from a Nani free-kick. The one thing we didn’t really show all season was the attacking football we’re all used to, we had seen a small bit of it at the start but as the game went on it seemed to have disappeared which allowed the Baggies come into the came a little more.

On the twenty-fifth minute great build play from Berbatov led to a superb finish from Nani. Nani is a player of mixed performances, when I say “mixed performances” I mean, he has his good days and has his terrible days a little too often. The main thing which he needs to work on is his final ball and shooting accuracy, I know I say this every time I write about Nani but being a Manchester United winger he should be working on it a lot harder if he’s even doing so.

Going into the second half we were two goals up and so far this season we’ve been letting two goals slip far to much and I was positive we weren’t going to let that happen and maybe even add to our lead. How wrong was I to see two ironic mistakes from the defence and Van Der Sar which unfortunately gave West Brom two goals.

Van Der Sar rarely makes mistakes so I’m not worried about that, he’s a real professional and I’m sure he’ll find his feet again! All keepers make mistakes in their career’s, some more than others.

So another match report I didn’t enjoy writing but it’s definitely one to forget so now I’m just looking forward to the game against Bursaspor on Wednesday night.
