Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck will play in a Sunderland jersey for the 2010-11 season. The so called “Black Cats” have managed to take the young English man from Old Trafford for a season-long loan deal.
Welbeck played many of Manchester United’s pre-season games where he showed all his pace and skill. He is someone I’ll be watching very close this season because I expect him to be on the Sunderland starting line up every week seeing they just lost Jones to Stoke.
He is still very young at the age of 19 and like Bebe he brings a physical presence something that all top strikers have in todays game. He played 14 match’s for United, scoring five goals. Last season he was loaned out to to Preston where he scored twice in eight games.
We would like to wish Danny Welbeck the best of luck at Sunderland and hopes he enjoys first team football.
As a Sunderland fan I’m over the moon with this, I think welbeck will do a great job down here and maybe get us in with a chance of getting into Europe!
