Evra Getting Another Week Off

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to give left back Patrice Evra more time off. It was clear at the end of last season Evra was getting tired and then he didn’t have the best of world cups when France got knocked out in the group stages.

Ferguson said: “We decided to give Patrice more rest. Over the last five years he has played an average of 55 games a year. This summer he has had the World Cup as well so we felt he deserved another week’s rest.

We asked on twitter yesterday if anyone heard anything from Evra since the World Cup but got no reply. I felt he was on the way out of Manchester with the stories about him selling his house. But I can now say that Evra started Training yesterday but won’t be available until into the season.
