Manchester United release 11 players while academy star turns down fresh terms

Manchester United have published its list of departing players ahead of the 2022/23 season.

While more players could leave the club during the transfer window, up to 11 will leave due to expiring contracts and that will hopefully force the club into making some much needed signings.

It was already confirmed that Edinson Cavani, Lee Grant, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba would be leaving the club at the end of the month.

However, the list released via ManUtd.com includes players from the academy, while Dylan Levitt’s contract was extended by a further year. The Wales international enjoyed a brilliant season on loan at Dundee United and was voted Fans’ Player of the Year.

Paul McShane will continue his coaching role after hanging up his boots.

Meanwhile, Slovakia U21 international Martin Svidersky is expected to join a La Liga club after turning down fresh terms at United.
