Manchester United have received an offer from Turkiye for Andre Onana, whose services are no longer required at Carrington.
While the Red Devils have had more headaches than any other Premier League giant over the past few years, Onana has been one of the club’s biggest conundrums since his arrival in the summer of 2023.
Based on the custodian’s performances at Inter Milan, Man Utd thought they had spent £47.5 million on an elite goalkeeper, but they gradually came to the realisation that the Cameroonian’s game has some glaring issues, as he’s been guilty of committing howlers on an almost weekly basis.
Onana’s latest horror show ensued last week in the nightmarish defeat to Grimsby Town, which remains his solitary appearance of the season.
Man United keen to offload Andre Onana
Thankfully, Man United addressed their goalkeeping issues by signing Senne Lammens, a 23-year-old Belgian shot-stopper who will be looking to present himself as an instant upgrade on both Onana and Altay Bayindir.

However, MUFC now find themselves with four first-team goalkeepers (with Tom Heaton being the fourth option), while only playing once per week. Therefore, something has to give in the next few weeks, as the transfer market remains open in several countries, including Turkiye, KSA and UAE.
According to sources close to Stretty News, Onana has been given the opportunity to join Trabzonspor, who presented Man Utd with a loan offer.
Man United & Onana examining Trabzonspor option
These sources understand that INEOS are still reflecting on the matter, as they would certainly prefer to offload the 29-year-old on a permanent basis, but they also realise that this might be a big ask amidst the current circumstances.
As for Onana, he would be willing to consider an exit if it becomes evident that Amorim is no longer planning to deploy him. But it remains to be seen if he’ll be open to joining the Turkish club.
Trabzonspor might not be as famous as their Istanbul-based rivals, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, but they’re also considered one of Turkiye’s most prestigious clubs, with seven league titles in their trophy cabinet (the latest coming in 2022), in addition to nine domestic cups, and 10 Turkish Super Cups.

Don’t waste time closing the door: just GO
Out of Bayindir and Onana, based on current form and attitude, I’d sell Onana in a flash. That saves us a fair bit on salaries, too.
We also need to get Bayindir trained up on crosses into the box, though, even if he’s to be 2nd choice.
Does he need a taxi to the airport? He is a idiot if he can’t see Amorim doesn’t want him. Ok the defence and Onana have been exposed due to a weak midfield but our back four couldn’t rely on him to bail them out EVER. We should have kept De Gea and spend the money on a midfielder. I only hope Lammens can be at his best for United.
Safe journey to your new destination Andere Onana. If you need escorts and or even transport don’t hesitate to inform us. Thanks
Get him out. Does not matter if it a loan. Maybe we could sweeten the deal for a sale with a buy one get one free. That way we could get rid of both Onana and Amorim.
Finally someone said something about Amorim. I am also not convinced by this guy. His formation is not working in the EPL but he’s insisting, this is not the Portuguese league. What works there might not work in the EPL.
I think amorin has three issues. System not robusta enough for premier league.selection trying to fit in players hera and there. Pick your best players in their best positions then see what you have left.substitutions need to make sensese
