Club football finally returns this weekend after a two-week-long international break, and for Manchester United, it was far from stress-free.
On top of all the public drama and back-and-forths, the Reds now face a particularly difficult test against last season’s highflyers, Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Seagulls managed a league double over United last term – a situation that Erik ten Hag will be adamant about avoiding this time around.
All three points are absolutely crucial after the side’s start to the season too; with two wins and two losses on the board, the next run of fixtures could be very telling as to how the campaign will play out.
Numerous players represented their nations across the break and all of them have now returned to Carrington for final preparations ahead of Saturday.
