Bruno Fernandes was spotted chastising Senne Lammens for his distribution while Manchester United were trailing to Leeds United.

Despite being a man down following Lisandro Martinez’s sending-off, the Reds have managed to pull one back in the closing stages, with Fernandes once again assisting Casemiro to make it 2-1.

Martinez sent off upon return from injury

Martinez was sent his marching orders in the 56th minute, having been shown a red card for pulling on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s hair.

While it wasn’t originally picked up by the referee, it was spotted and analysed by VAR. Then, after Paul Tierney was sent to the pitchside monitor to review the incident himself, he decided on a straight red for violent conduct.

It comes as a major blow for Michael Carrick, who will now be without Martinez for a further three matches after he already missed five through injury.

Harry Maguire seeing red away to Bournemouth has also led to him missing tonight’s clash, and it could well be more, given he has been charged by the FA for his behaviour at the Vitality Stadium.

As a result, it looks as though Carrick will have to line up with a youthful partnership of Ayden Heaven and Leny Yoro for the trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Fernandes voices frustrations to Lammens

Fernandes has seemingly been as agitated as the 70,000+ supporters in attendance, too.

Samuel Luckhurst shared on X/Twitter that the skipper ‘had a right go’ at Lammens for his wasteful goal-kicks.

Lammens has overseen a tremendous debut campaign up to this point.

To be fair to him, even though he has conceded twice tonight, his saves have actually prevented the scoreline from looking more disastrous for United, as Leeds haven’t been short of chances around the Belgian’s area.
