Aston Villa are reportedly ready to terminate Jadon Sancho’s loan in January and send him back to Manchester United.
The in-form West Midlands outfit are prepared to call it quits with the underperforming winger, as well as with Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliott, and instead pursue Brazilian starlet Alysson and Tottenham Hotspur’s Brennan Johnson, as per TeamTalk.
However, with Sancho, who’s now valued at just £17.5 million by Transfermarkt, already well aware that he has no future at Old Trafford, it’ll then be up to him and United to decipher where he’ll be spending the second half of 2025/2026.

His contract is due to expire at the end of the season, although reports have previously suggested United would activate Sancho’s one-year option to prevent him from leaving for nothing come June 2026.
Yet, his lacklustre showings mean suitors won’t exactly be lining up to try and acquire his signature, so United are perhaps better off just washing their hands of the situation once and for all and getting him off the books.
Since making the move to Villa Park on deadline day in September, the Borussia Dortmund graduate been utilised sparingly by Unai Emery.
He has yet to start a Premier League game and has been granted only seven appearances off the bench.

What’s more, the winger’s time on the pitch has not exceeded 22 minutes since the start of November, while he’s also been an unused substitute for five whole matches.
Perhaps unsurprisingly for the United faithful, Sancho has not recorded a goal or an assist in his 13 appearances across all competitions, so you can’t really blame Emery for wanting to cut ties prematurely.

In regard to where the 25-year-old might end up, TeamTalk’s report suggests Dortmund retain their long-standing admiration for Sancho, while AS Monaco and Como are mulling over moves.
As far I understood there was no terination of his year loan seeing that Aston Villa are paying his wages. So do they have to pay apenalty or is Man U stuck with his wages again. That was the whole plan all along for Aston Villa ,they don’t want to pay him again
Just get rid of him at the end of his contract and don’t activate the extra year enough is enough and going by his record who would want to buy him even then it’s just getting ridiculous
