Manchester United have reportedly finalised the transfer of Senne Lammens, who has now put pen to paper.

The Red Devils spent the bulk of their summer working on bolstering their attack. They eventually succeeded in signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.

However, if there were any conclusions to be drawn from their first few fixtures this season, addressing the goalkeeping department must be considered an urgent need.

Senne Lammens has signed for Man United

After witnessing the howlers of Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana, INEOS decided to take action, speeding up their pursuit of a new goalkeeper.

Despite reviving their interest in Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez, Semmens had always been the club’s main priority thanks to his young age, great promise and affordable price.

The Belgian is coming off a ‘phenomenal’ campaign with Royal Antwerp, cementing himself as one of the fastest-rising stars in his nation.

On Monday morning, it was revealed by The Athletic journalist David Ornstein that United were able to reach a total agreement with the Belgian club for Lammens’ transfer. The custodian landed in England before heading to Carrington to undergo his medical tests.

According to Man Utd insider, Sully, the player has already signed his contract, as the club prepares to announce him as their fourth summer signing.

Man Utd fans will back Lammens to start immediately

Lammens had also emerged as a potential transfer target for Aston Villa, but he had always considered MUFC as his priority, reveals the source.

Therefore, the Club Brugge youth product will join Ruben Amorim’s ranks, and will be expected to challenge for the starting gloves, with many Man Utd supporters keen to see him get the nod immediately and relieve them from the agony of watching Onana (or Bayindir) between the sticks.

The first indication will arrive after the international break, when Man Utd clash heads with crosstown rival, Man City, on September 14th.

    1. I am living in Antwerp en saw him regurlarly last season.
      We’re in safe hands.
Young, smart, relax, quick, overview and good feet…
      A bargain….

  1. brilliant signing, and to be honest with you, I wanted Lammens over Martinez, yes, Martinez has Prem experience, but no sell on value, Lammens is younger, we can have him for a decade, at least.

  2. Great thanks, but amorim should consider a three- man midfield of casemiro, mainoo and ugarte in 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 with Bruno in 10,accompaigned with amad and mbeumo in injured Cunha circumstance to relieve pressure off the goalkeeper before we consider semmens as good with his commanding

  4. Lamens now, Martinez next summer on a freebie. Then we can ship out Onana and What’sitname, and both for a decent fee. That’s the game here. This way we upgrade both of our gk for free.

  5. NICE ONE THERE WELCOME SANNE, But Amorim, we need to be winning games, so change that your formation to 4 3 3

  6. Nice one but sir Amorin should reconsider his decision and play a 4.3.3 or 4.2.3.1 formation, with ugarte 4, Bruno 10, mainoo 8, please sir

  7. This tranfer window Manchester United board did well.. Amorin to whom much is given, much is expected… Midfielder next January sure.

  8. United had 3 problems to solve. In order of priority- 1. Manager – not solved. 2. Goalkeeper – solved. 3. Midfield – not solved.
Wasted money on number 10s and striker – this was an area that could have been devastatingly good if the manager was replaced by a good one.

  9. He has got to start straight away other 2 a liability defense got no confidence in them he cant do any worse surely
