RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has taken a similar stance to Manchester United new boys Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Despite failing to secure their spot in Europe next season, the Red Devils’ aura hasn’t faded, as the club remains capable of luring some of the biggest names on the market, as evidenced by their first two summer acquisitions.

Man Utd have already bought Cunha and Mbeumo who reportedly had other top suitors in the Premier League, with some of the clubs offering them the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

According to German journalist Guido Schäfer, Sesko has also given his preference to the Old Trafford outfit.

Benjamin Sesko prefers Man United over Newcastle

The source confirms that Man United and Newcastle have both registered their interest in the 22-year-old, albeit neither side has opened negotiations with the player’s entourage or with Leipzig.

The Red Devils are keen to complete their new-look attack by adding a striker to their ranks, while the Magpies could soon require a new centre-forward, given that Alexander Isak has asked to leave the club.

Nevertheless, the Slovenian star would be more enticed to join Man Utd rather than Newcastle, even though the Magpies will play in the Champions League this term.

Will Sesko join Mbeumo & Cunha at Old Trafford?

While the player’s desire isn’t sufficient on its own, it could surely play a fundamental role, as evidenced by the transfers of Cunha and Mbeumo.

Therefore, many at Carrington might be optimistic about landing Sesko this summer, even though it won’t be easy given that Leipzig are gunning for €80 million at the very least.

Man United have already missed out on several transfer targets in attack, especially Liam Delap, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres, so they’ll be hoping that the young Bundesliga bomber won’t slip through their fingers.

However, it should be noted that Sesko isn’t the only striker on Man Utd’s shortlist, as INEOS are tracking at least another three.

  1. Sesko is to expensive he does not have a lot of experience, certainly none in the Premier League. His wage demands are to high so avoid and move on

    1. And the inexpensive, experienced option is? Watkins is 29 and Villa want 60 mill .. Jackson is expensive / red card friendly and third choice at Chelsea..

    2. United should not fool themselves. He does not want to go to Newcastle becsuse Isak is there and that would mean a place on the bench only.

  2. I would rather spend 60+mill on sesko then Watkins who will be 30 by December red flag and Jackson we need to stay away from him hell no, osiman was the one for me we will be bottom half in new season

    1. Man u should get serious in there hant for straker me i rather spend 60 or 70 on seseko than Watkins and Jackson

  3. Please buy Sesko quickly, he is young, very tall and has scored goals, otherwise Arsenal won’t have looked at him.

  4. To spend £60Millio. on Watkins is sickness , at best at his age with no resale value about £25.million is enough , Jackson is jokingly overpriced, the best option is to swap Sancho for the giant Serbian striker flavohic from Juventus, he is still only 25. on is currently valued at less than £25. million compare to £60. million for a 30.year old Watkins..the whole soccer world knows that can buy United players on the cheaap because our negotiators are clown yet when we buy players they double their market value because United are run by fools

    1. I fully agree with your comments. MU is a bunch of Jokers, including the Glazers

    2. Vlahovic of joventus can’t help us coz players from Italian league cant work in premier league. Thats why Hojland and Zerkiz are not shining yet they were young expensive. Buy some one who knows premierleague and experience sothat Hojland. Zerkiz and Obi to learn from him.

  5. Please buy Sesko quickly, he is young, very tall and has scored goals, otherwise Arsenal won’t have looked at him. There is no one is left to buy. I will stay away from Jackson and Olie Watkins as well for his age.

  6. It makes more sense to sign Sesko, he’s 22 scores for fun. Watkin’s although I love him, is 29 and at £60m well overpriced (no resale value)!

  7. I don’t really know this guy but sesko. Common!! Let’s do something real good for once.

  8. Vlahovic of joventus can’t help us coz players from Italian league cant work in premier league. Thats why Hojland and Zerkiz are not shining yet they were young expensive. Buy some one who knows premierleague and experience sothat Hojland. Zerkiz and Obi to learn from him.

  9. Buying Sesko would be good move and buy
CDM, and Psg keeper we can match any team.

    1. That’s a fact much more anticipated. The bustling stricker could add fire power

  10. yes , 70 millions will be spend soon , 40m on Carlos baleba and 30m on jean Phillip mateta of c p l

  11. Your words are purely on point..
Clubs tend to double their fees at the mention of United.. Watkins @29 for 60M is a proof and United I believe the current runners won’t fall prey like their predecessor. SESKO or VLAHOVIC not JACKSON irregardless of their respective clauses speaks volumes of intent and money well spent considering their age and talents.
Any of these due..SESKO and VLAHOVIC with the likes of BRUNO, CUNHA and MBUEMO at their back will settle in just fine and fast. United should sink in deep and think out the best suitable option between the duo to parade in their front.

I’m tired of prolonged transfer negotiations..we need positive confirmations on deals both ins and outs asap..

  12. Sesko is much better option for united if we truly need s striker next season to begin with because the guy have prove his self in a team with low quality player let buy him and see what he can offer us as well ,with player like Bruno ,cunha ,mbeumo ,plus sesko united are good to go
